My Darklyng by Laura Moser and Lauren Mechling is appearing serially on Slate. I read the first couple of chapters and haven't decided if I'm going to keep going. I can't say it pulled me in and I'm dying to find out what happened next. I might check back in when it's further along, maybe it just has a slow beginning. It supposedly makes fun of the vampire craze while at the same time being about vampires. Check it out and let me know what you think.
So I was intrigued because of your mediocre review, and I couldn't make it through the first few paragraphs. Didn't hold my attention at all, which is sad since I think the world could use a great vampire satire.
